Mandalika Circuit Tour

The Mandalika International Street Circuit is Lombok's most ambitious infrastructure project — a purpose-built MotoGP racing circuit that hosted its first World Championship race in 2022, putting South Lombok on the global motorsport map. The circuit tours allow visitors to walk sections of the 4.3km track, visit the paddock area, learn about the engineering behind the circuit, and take photos on the grid. On non-race days, the circuit is also used for cycling, running, and occasionally car track days. The surrounding Mandalika Special Economic Zone is a massive development area with new hotels, shopping complexes, and entertainment facilities under construction — it gives a fascinating glimpse into Lombok's future. Tours are available from the visitor center near the main entrance. Entry costs IDR 25,000 on regular days; prices increase significantly during race events. The circuit is located just east of Kuta Beach, a 5-minute drive from central Kuta. The MotoGP typically takes place in September or October — if you are here during race week, the atmosphere is electric with hundreds of thousands of motorsport fans descending on Lombok. Outside of race season, the area is quiet and makes for interesting exploration. The circuit includes several viewpoints over the surrounding coastline.
