Indonesia's most iconic volcano trek at 3,726m
Mount Rinjani is Indonesia's second-highest volcano and one of Southeast Asia's most rewarding treks. The standard 3-day/2-night trek from Sembalun takes you to the crater rim (2,641m) with views of the stunning crater lake, Segara Anak. The summit push to 3,726m is optional but challenging. Licensed guides are mandatory. Treks run year-round except during rainy season closures (typically January-March). Expect to pay IDR 2,500,000-5,500,000 depending on package and duration.
