Scuba Froggy Gili Air

Scuba Froggy is a family-owned dive center on Gili Air that has built a loyal following through personal attention, genuine warmth, and an outstanding Divemaster internship program that attracts aspiring dive professionals from around the world. The center is run by Pak Agus (a Lombok native and PADI Course Director) and his wife Sarah (a British divemaster), creating a welcoming bilingual environment where both Western and Indonesian diving cultures meet. Fun dives are relaxed and well-organized, with maximum 4:1 ratios and dive briefings that are informative without being patronizing. The dive sites around the Gilis are accessed by their comfortable wooden boat (the only dive boat on Gili Air with a proper sun shade and fresh water shower). Popular sites include Shark Point, Deep Turbo, Manta Point (seasonal), and the Bounty wreck. Fun dives cost IDR 500,000 for two tanks. PADI courses run at standard rates: Open Water IDR 5,500,000, Advanced IDR 4,500,000. The real standout is the Divemaster internship — a 6-8 week program at IDR 15,000,000 that includes accommodation, all training dives, PADI materials, and mentorship from Pak Agus. Interns join daily boat trips, assist with courses, and leave with genuine professional skills. Equipment is Aqua Lung. Nitrox available. The center has a comfortable lounge with dive library, equipment storage, and freshwater camera rinse tanks. Located on Gili Air's west coast with direct beach access for shore dives on the house reef.
