Big Bubble Diving

Big Bubble Diving is one of the original dive shops on Gili Trawangan, operating for over two decades and accumulating an encyclopedic knowledge of every dive site in the area. The longevity shows in the quality of the operation: instructors are experienced and passionate, equipment is systematically maintained, and safety protocols are thorough without being tedious. The dive center offers PADI courses from beginner to professional level. The Open Water course costs IDR 5,800,000 and their pass rate is exceptionally high — they take the time to get it right. Fun dives are IDR 550,000 for two dives, with multiple daily departures allowing flexible scheduling. What many divers appreciate about Big Bubble is their enthusiasm for the underwater world — pre-dive briefings are informative and enthusiastic, and post-dive debriefs with species identification books help you appreciate what you have seen. They run popular underwater photography courses and macro diving specialties. The dive sites they frequent include Shark Point (reef sharks), Meno Wall (dramatic drop-off), Halik Reef (stunning coral gardens), and the Bounty wreck. Turtles are seen on almost every dive. The center is in a prime location on the main strip with an attached bar where divers gather to swap stories. Night dive events with pizza afterward are a regular highlight. Nitrox available.
