Tanjung Aan is arguably Lombok's most beautiful beach — two perfect crescent bays separated by a rocky headland, with crystal-clear turquoise water and powder-white sand that squeaks underfoot. The eastern bay has calm, shallow water ideal for swimming, while the western bay gets surf. A hilltop viewpoint offers one of Lombok's most photographed panoramas. Local vendors rent bean bags and sell coconuts. Parking costs IDR 10,000 for motorbikes. The beach gets busy on weekends but is blissfully quiet on weekdays.
