Senggigi is the most popular arrival destination for Lombok visitors who want beach resort vibes from day one. The drive from LOP airport takes 60–75 minutes through Mataram and up the coast to Senggigi's main strip.
LOP is in Praya, roughly in the center-south of Lombok. The drive goes north to Mataram (30–40 minutes), through Mataram city (10–15 minutes), and then up the coast road to Senggigi (15–20 minutes). Total is 45 km and 60–75 minutes in normal traffic.
Mataram's traffic is the variable. Morning arrivals get the worst of the school-and-office rush (7–9am); late-morning and afternoon arrivals are smoother.
