Fried rice at a local warung. Usually comes with a fried egg, crackers, and pickled vegetables. Best value meal on the island.

Steamed rice with choice of 2 sides at a warung. Common sides: ayam (chicken), tempe, tahu, sayur (vegetables), sambal.

Kopi tubruk — Lombok-style ground coffee with sugar. Strong and sweet.

Espresso-based drinks, pour-over, or specialty coffee at tourist-area cafes. Kuta and Senggigi have the most options.

Western or fusion food at tourist-oriented restaurants. Burgers, pasta, smoothie bowls. Quality varies widely.

Available at any minimarket (Indomaret/Alfamart). Aqua is the most common brand. Tap water is NOT safe to drink.
