Lombok Eco Lodge

Lombok Eco Lodge is the most adventurous accommodation option in East Lombok — an off-grid property set on a hillside overlooking the dramatic coastline near Tanjung Ringgit, roughly 30 minutes from Pink Beach. The lodge consists of five bamboo villas built using traditional construction techniques and powered entirely by solar panels. Each villa is open-sided with mosquito-netted sleeping areas, offering spectacular ocean views from your pillow. Bathrooms are outdoor showers surrounded by tropical plants. The lodge collects rainwater and filters it for drinking. Meals are prepared communally by the staff using ingredients sourced from the lodge's garden and the nearby fishing village — expect fresh fish, Sasak curries, salads, and fruit. Full board (three meals plus snacks and filtered water) is included in the rate: IDR 500,000 per night per person, which is reasonable given the all-inclusive nature and the effort required to maintain a property this remote. The lodge organizes guided hikes to Tanjung Ringgit (a dramatic cliff viewpoint), Pink Beach excursions, and snorkeling trips. The owner is an environmental scientist from Java who set up the lodge to demonstrate that tourism and conservation can coexist in East Lombok. There is no WiFi, no phone signal, and no AC. What you have instead is the sound of the ocean, a sky full of stars (the Milky Way is clearly visible), and a genuine sense of being somewhere truly special and untouched. Access requires a 4WD or motorbike on a rough road — the lodge can arrange pickup from Labuhan Lombok.
