• Grading — pearls are graded on luster (shine), surface (blemishes), shape (round vs. baroque), size, color, and nacre thickness. A high-grade 12mm round white South Sea pearl can run 5–15 million IDR for a single loose pearl.

For independent verification, you can take pearls to GIA labs in Hong Kong, Bangkok, or Singapore — Lombok doesn't have its own gemological lab. Many serious buyers do this verification before customs clearance back home.

The shop will also test pearls in front of you with a tooth-rub test (real pearls feel gritty, fakes feel smooth) and surface inspection under magnification.

For purchases above 5M IDR, the shop arranges insured shipping via DHL or FedEx with declared customs value. Shipping costs to Europe and North America are typically 1–2M IDR.
