Shared shuttle bus connecting Lombok's main tourist areas

Perama is Indonesia's longest-running tourist shuttle bus company, and their Lombok routes provide affordable, reliable shared transport between the island's main tourist hubs. For travelers who do not want to rent a scooter or hire a private driver, the Perama shuttle is often the most practical option. The main routes run between Mataram/Senggigi and Kuta Lombok (IDR 125,000, approximately 2 hours), Mataram to Bangsal Harbor for Gili boats (IDR 75,000, approximately 1 hour), and Kuta to Bangsal (IDR 150,000, approximately 2.5 hours). Shuttles depart at fixed times — typically morning (8-9am) and afternoon (1-2pm) — and require booking at least a few hours ahead, ideally the day before. The vehicles are air-conditioned minivans seating 8-12 passengers. Hotel pickup and drop-off within the main tourist areas is included in the price. The journey can take longer than quoted if there are multiple hotel pickups. The drivers are professional and the vehicles are well-maintained. Perama has been operating since the 1980s across Bali and Lombok and has a strong safety record. For solo travelers and couples, the shuttle is significantly cheaper than hiring a private driver. For groups of 3 or more, the cost difference narrows and a private driver may offer better value. The Mataram office can also arrange day tours, airport transfers, and inter-island transport packages including boat connections to Bali. Booking can be done via WhatsApp, through the Mataram office, or through hotel reception desks in Senggigi and Kuta. Payment is cash only.
