Unlike the driver services that most tourists use, Ibu Sari rents you the car itself with no driver, which is ideal for confident drivers who want independence and can handle Indonesian traffic conditions. The fleet consists of well-maintained Toyota Avanzas (7-seater MPV, perfect for families or groups), Suzuki Ertiga (smaller MPV, easier to park), and a few Honda Jazz hatchbacks (efficient for couples). All vehicles come with air conditioning, working seatbelts, and are covered by basic insurance. Prices are competitive: Avanza IDR 350,000 per day, Ertiga IDR 300,000 per day, Jazz IDR 250,000 per day. Weekly rentals get a 15% discount. Fuel is your responsibility — petrol costs about IDR 13,000 per liter at Pertamina stations. The rental includes a basic tool kit, spare tire, and a laminated map of Lombok (genuinely useful when Google Maps loses signal in rural areas). The car can be delivered to Lombok International Airport for an additional IDR 50,000, or picked up from the Mataram office. An international driving license or Indonesian license is technically required, but Ibu Sari is pragmatic. A deposit of IDR 500,000 is required (returned on return of the vehicle).
