The Lure is the best restaurant-bar in Sekotong, a breezy wooden establishment perched right on the waterfront with uninterrupted views across the turquoise bay to the Secret Gili islands. It is attached to a small boutique resort and is open to non-guests, making it the default gathering spot for the small but growing community of travelers discovering this corner of Lombok. The menu is compact but well-executed: fresh grilled fish caught that morning by local fishermen, Indonesian staples like nasi goreng and mie goreng cooked with care, and a few Western options including a solid burger and fish and chips. The seafood BBQ platter for two is the highlight — a generous spread of grilled snapper, prawns, squid, and sides for IDR 250,000. Individual mains range from IDR 45,000 to IDR 120,000. The cocktail menu takes advantage of Sekotong's laid-back sunset culture: the passion fruit margarita and coconut rum punch are both excellent, and happy hour from 4-6pm offers two-for-one on selected drinks. The bar area has cushioned lounge seating oriented toward the sunset, and the light show over the Secret Gilis on a clear evening is genuinely world-class.
