Laut Biru (meaning "blue sea" in Indonesian) is a colorful, laid-back cafe that has become a favorite post-surf refueling station in Kuta Lombok. The specialty is smoothie bowls — thick, vibrant, and loaded with fresh tropical fruit, granola, coconut flakes, and chia seeds. The dragon fruit bowl with mango and passion fruit coulis is Instagram-worthy and genuinely delicious. Beyond bowls, the menu covers the brunch essentials that Kuta's international crowd craves: avocado toast on proper sourdough, fluffy pancakes with fresh banana and honey, shakshuka, and solid breakfast burritos. The lunch menu adds wraps, grain bowls, and a surprisingly good fish burger using fresh local catch. Coffee is sourced from a Senaru roaster on the slopes of Mount Rinjani and prepared with care. Prices are moderate for the area: smoothie bowls IDR 40,000-55,000, mains IDR 45,000-70,000, coffee IDR 25,000-35,000. The space is open-air with tropical plants, surfboard decor, and a chilled acoustic soundtrack. WiFi is reliable at around 12 Mbps, making it workable for digital nomads, though it gets crowded at peak brunch hours (9-11am). They have a small selection of local craft beer. The staff are young, enthusiastic, and speak good English. Located just off the main Kuta road, with parking for motorbikes out front. Opens early at 7am — one of the few places in Kuta where you can get a proper coffee before 8am.
