Senggigi central beachfront (south end of main bay)
★ 4.5(1,240 reviews)
Beach Club Senggigi is the main beachfront cocktail-and-dining venue on Senggigi bay, with sun loungers, daybeds, a long sunset bar, and a kitchen that runs grilled seafood, pizzas, and Asian-fusion dishes. Premium pricing (mains 140-340k IDR, cocktails 130-180k IDR), but the location and sunset views are unmatched on this coast.
# Beach Club Senggigi: The Beachfront Sunset Venue
Beach Club Senggigi sits on the south end of Senggigi's main bay, occupying around 80 metres of sand frontage with daybeds, sun loungers, a long open-air bar, a covered restaurant section, and a fire pit area for after-dinner drinks. It's the closest thing Senggigi has to a Bali-style beach club — and on a clear sunset evening, it lives up to the marketing.
The honest answer: location, sunset, atmosphere. Senggigi bay faces west across the Lombok Strait, with Bali's Mount Agung visible on the horizon on clear days. The sunsets here are the best on Lombok's west coast, and Beach Club has the most prime sand for watching them.
Food and drink quality has improved significantly since the 2024 refurbishment — the kitchen brought in a new chef, the cocktail program got a proper overhaul, and the daybed service runs more smoothly than it used to. But you're still paying premium prices for what is, fundamentally, a beachfront-real-estate proposition.
There are two zones:
Sun loungers (free use) — front-row deck chairs and umbrellas, no minimum spend, but you order food and drinks at the bar. Best for casual visitors, solo travelers, couples on a budget.
Daybeds (500k IDR minimum spend per bed) — proper raised daybeds with cushions, table service, parasols. The minimum spend covers food and drinks combined. Three-person daybeds and family daybeds (1M IDR minimum) also available. Reservations recommended for sunset (5-7pm) — walk-ins often face a 30-60 minute wait on Friday/Saturday and during peak season.
The cocktail program is one of the better ones on Lombok. Bartenders use fresh ingredients (no sour mix shortcuts), the spirit selection is decent (Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray, several mezcals, proper rums), and the menu rotates seasonally. Standard cocktails 130-160k IDR, signatures and martinis 160-180k IDR. Beer (Bintang large bottle) 75k IDR. Wine starts at 90k IDR per glass.
Sunset cocktail hour 5-7pm — 30% off select cocktails (margarita, mojito, espresso martini, gin and tonic, aperol spritz). This is when the place fills up; arrive at 4:30 to snag a daybed.
The kitchen runs four sections:
Salads and lighter options run 95-150k IDR. Desserts 75-110k IDR (the chocolate fondant and the coconut panna cotta are the picks).
A typical sunset evening at Beach Club:
Per person that's around 700-800k IDR for a full evening — Bali-Seminyak pricing. You can spend less by skipping the daybed, drinking only during sunset hour, and ordering shareable plates.
If you want romance, come Sunday-Thursday. If you want to dance, come Friday-Saturday. If you want both, arrive at sunset (5-7pm) on a Friday and leave by 9pm before the DJ ramps up.
Sun protection — daybeds have parasols but the sand reflects heat. Apply sunscreen if you arrive before 4pm.
Bathrooms — proper indoor restrooms at the back of the restaurant section, kept clean.
Children — welcome until 8pm, then the venue skews adult. Family daybeds (1M minimum) work well for early-evening dinners.
Booking — daybeds via WhatsApp +62 819 1822 6655 or website. Friday/Saturday sunset slots (5-7pm) book out 2-3 days ahead in peak season.
Strengths: best sunset location on Senggigi; cocktails are properly made; food quality has improved; daybed service works smoothly; vibe transitions well from sunset dinner to night-life depending on the day.
Weaknesses: premium pricing throughout; minimum spend system catches casual visitors off guard; loud DJ nights aren't for everyone; can feel a bit Bali-knock-off if you've been to Potato Head; sunset crowd can feel performative.
Best for: couples on a special-occasion sunset; groups of 4-6 wanting daybeds and cocktails; travelers willing to pay premium for view-and-vibe; date nights; anyone wanting a Bali-style beach club without going to Bali.
Skip if: you're on a tight budget; you want a quiet local meal (try Spice Warung or Sasak House); you find DJ-driven beach clubs cringeworthy; you came to Lombok to escape the Bali-Canggu scene.
