Trawangan Dive Center has been operating on Gili Trawangan since the late 1990s and holds a consistent reputation as the "reliable mid-tier" option on the island. They're not the prestige choice (Blue Marlin gets that mantle for Instructor courses and boutique feel), and they're not the budget choice (several smaller shops compete at the low end). They're the shop most Gili T regulars recommend for families and for travelers who want a professional operation without paying premium.
Junior Open Water: Trawangan Dive has built one of the strongest kids' dive programs on the Gilis. Their instructors specialize in teaching ages 10–14 with appropriate pacing, specialized pool sessions, and parent briefings. If you're bringing kids to learn to dive, this is the shop.
Fun dive reliability: The shop runs 3 dive boats daily to the classic Gili sites (Shark Point, Deep Turbo, Halik, Meno Wall) on a consistent schedule. Small-to-moderate group sizes (5–8 per divemaster). Equipment is maintained adequately.
